e. Ending with a bibliography
Remember, the research paper is written with an intention for another reader to comprehend. So get a friend/ family member to proof read. If the proof reader cannot understand what you have written, it will come as no surprise that the marker does not understand you either. Worst still. you are not present to clarify your writing, hence you have to accept the grade that was given. Research paper writing review

Post-Course Reflection PPE is an enriching and comprehensive course, that is thought provoking and challenges our assumptions we have about Philosophy, Politics and Economics. It is also informative, but the process of teaching is not directly spoon fed but it allows for exploration and independent learning. It is a good crash course into the understanding of PPE. It is certainly appropriate for it to be taught to Bicultural Studies Programme Students as it is relevant to understanding other cultures. It has taught me a lot of facts, theories and understandings of the world I had never knew before. Definitely recommended for future students.

Post-Course Reflection PPE has introduced me to basic concepts of economics, philosophy and politics and their inter-relation. This course effectively combined these three elements to explain phenomena and trends in the modern world. Through discussions, quizzes and readings, students are able to better understand the content of the course. The course has also taught students skills involving a research paper. This is an example of inter-disciplinary studies as these skills learnt can also be applied to subjects such as the Bi-Cultural Studies. Critical thinking skills acquired also helps students to excel in their other subjects. This course has also effectively covered the Western and Eastern philosophies, making this course even relevant to our Bi-Cultural Studies Program. I hope that what we have learnt in this course will accompany us for life.

Post-Course Reflection PPE is a half-year course on a decade's worth of things. This is basically my idea after having the PPE lessons, being content-rich and having a wide base of things to learn from: Philosophy, Politics and Economics, all combined into one single subject. Although I had felt that the course seemed too much to understand about and that the workload was difficult, I still liked the course for the processes and the knowledged gained during the course.
This is an enriching course. It is one that allows a broad-based understanding of world issues and also new techniques that will be useful in the future.

Post-Course Reflection I feel that the PPE course has indeed added a new dimension to my learning and has sparked my interest in learning about the intertwining relationships between politics, philosophy and economics. I feel that this course has benefitted me and I feel that it will put all of us in a good stead for the future as we get a whole lot more exposure at such a young age.
Firstly, I feel that PPE has taught me how to question assumptions and become more mature. Many people look at pertinent issues at face value, and it is of the essence to delve deeper into the intricacies of how these three factors of PPE shape the contemporary world we are living in today.
Next, besides broadening my horizons and perspectives, PPE has also taught me various soft skills such as writing a research paper. Before I entered this course, I never wrote a research paper before, therefore, I was lost at the start. I did not even realise the importance of a bibliography, neither do I know how to structure one in a proper format.
To end off, I feel that all the students who took this course would indeed echo my thoughts that it has really been a wonderful course under the guidance of our really expert mentor, Mr Balan. I am really grateful for his help and inspiration.

Post-Course Reflection Upon completion of this course, in moments of introspection, I realized that the skills and knowledge acquired are highly beneficial and relevant towards a better understanding of our contemporary. Indeed, the core aim of PPE, which is targeted at “equipping students with an intellectual lens in analyzing East-Asian affairs”, has not only be achieved, but also propelled us to greater heights and expose us to new realms of knowledge waiting for us to venture into.
It is irrefutable that throughout this course, through the introduction to international economics and relations, the knowledge has helped shaped how I perceive the world to be. Despite the need to read up on highly sophisticated texts that never fails to puzzle me upon the completion of the initial phase of reading, under the guidance of Mr. Balan, equivocal concepts were being explored and discussed, eventually leading me to have an epiphany, and indescribable form of enlightenment in which everything suddenly seem to come to light.
Furthermore, we are taught how to write a good research paper, a skill that will indubitably benefit me in the years to come. Mr. Balan’s emphasis on succinct writing also helps us in crafting essays that address the topic at hand straight to the point and eradicating redundant information.
Lastly, the most important skill that he had imparted to us lies in thinking critically. Through analyzing different sources of information, we are expected to be able to identify the crux and validate the authenticity or reliability of sources from the writer’s perspective. Lessons usually end with thought-provoking questions that serve as food for thought when we are free, thereby ensuring our undying passion and commitment towards the subject.
In my opinion, though PPE is a pioneered course still in its infancy, it has conferred upon me a plethora of benefits that shall serve me for life. All these are not possible without Mr. Balan, who, with his professionalism and unwavering guidance, has transformed the course into such a success. As such, it is one of my biggest regret to be in China and miss out on six weeks of PPE lessons. Nevertheless, the advent of this course into my life has opened up a whole new range of possibilities and realms of knowledge, awaiting me to explore and venture into them. These new realms, though stranger to me, are inundated with interesting concepts, thus providing me with the impetus to embark into the unknown. As of now, I am wholly unabashed to declare that the day PPE was introduced to me was certainly the heyday and a watershed in my life, for the completion of this course only marks the beginning of my future endeavors in this domain… …

Post-Course Reflection The course has achieved its aim of providing thought-provoking global and international issue, allowing us to cultivate the habit of continuously keeping up with news around the world. This habit is especially important in the current society where information is readily available for anyone to digest, and thus the thin line threads between reading up or not keeping up the information.
Furthermore, this course has cultivated the habit of reading up more often before the actual lesson, so as to allow for greater room of discussion when debating about the various different issues in class. In addition, reading up has allowed us to gain more perspectives about different issues which we may be tackling, and allow for better understanding of global affairs.
Most importantly, this course has taught me various skills necessary for the later part in our education, example being how to write a proper research paper and also how to write a research essay with accurate citations and bibliography.
In a nut-shell, PPE has been the most enriching course I could have taken in my secondary education.

Post-Course Reflection PPE, politics, philosophy and economics, is one of the most challenging courses that I have taken. However, I was really fortunate that I have taken this course. I am really thankful to Mr. Balan for making this course a successful one.
This course has imparted me in the many essential skills. I have certainly benefited in this course. It has taught me the importance of referring and the basics of writing an English research paper.
Furthermore, PPE has widened my knowledge, imparting me with the world’s economic and political theories of comparative advantages and absolute advantages to anarchy and security dilemma. The example of Apple and the incident of Foxconn have also increased my awareness of the world.
Most importantly, it has bred my interest in philosophy. It has forced me to utilize my mind to decipher the hidden area of the world. No other subject has been as strenuous as philosophy. From Socrates question of “What is justice”, to Machiavelli’s phrase “the end justify the means, it has inspired me to look deeper into nature and the world. Philosophy. It is the unending quest that attracts me, sucking me deeper and deeper into the realms of the unknown.
Last of all, the lessons are succinct and interesting, always starting with thought-provoking and mind-blogging questions. This has only ignited our curiosity in the end.

Post-Course Reflection To be frank, I did not know I was offered this course at the start of the year and was rather reluctant in taking this course due to it being quite challenging. However, as I proceeded on with the course, there were several ups and downs and I started to appreciate the different kinds of knowledge that I picked up along the road.
I learned new research techniques and this course also definitely sharpened my research skills and comprehension skills.
I find it really interesting how politics, philosophy and economics are interrelated. I have also begun to gain insight in news and find all these links that are interrelated in economics, philosophy and politics.

Post-Course Reflection PPE has also benefitted me, just like the rest. Politics may seem to be rather impracticable and hard to understand at our age, but still, PPE gives us chance to at least know the foundations of politics. From international relations to legitamacy crisis, PPE has covered many main issues of politics affecting the world today, with lesson packages from recent news. One example is the usage of Mubarak as an example of legitamacy crisis just merely two days after the first riot broke out in Egypt. It keeps us updated about the many political activities going on in the world as of today.
Secondly, economics. Economics was one part I did really understand as well as politics. However the main outline was visible. From Apple's IPod study to China's Foxconn to Human Rights, Ecnomics study has brought me in depth to why countries trade, what is a trade deficit etc etc. This may not prove to be useful is our secondary school days as we do not need to be over calculative of our pocket money. But in the long run, who knows what might it lead to or where it will be put into good use.
I feel that the research papers are a little to demamding of us students at Secondary 3. Especially when we have to pick out every essence from a paragraph, rephrase and put them in nice fonts and structures, it will be a really tiring process often sacrificing much of our sleep. The result may not be good either, because I personally do not understand what rubrics are used for marking the research paper, and I have to accept my grade. So maybe a little leniency on the research paper may be good.
